i had this whole big entry planned. i was going to tell you that those people being targeted are my people. i was going to tell you what the gospel (and therefore the church) means to me and how if i know anything i know this first: we are God's children. He loves us. He made us with purpose. He is forgiving and accepting.

I should be too.

it just wasn't coming out the way i wanted it to, so this is all you get.

my goal: i'm going to live in such a way that when people say awful things about mormons the people listening will say, "that can't be true because i know miriam."

Hi I've been following yours posts about the protests and I just think it's awful. I was wondering if you'd mind if I used a couple of these pictures on my blog to spread the word that these protests ARE hateful, not peaceful. I'm not Mormon, but my best friend is, and I feel strongly on the subject. And I want you to know that I think you're doing a wonderful job of putting the facts out there of what is going on, without perpetuating the hate.

I like your thoughts. very smart.

What a great way to fight the hate. We can all try harder to live Christ-like and blameless lives. No one is perfect, but if everyone tried to be as hard as you do, Miriam, we would be living in a wonderful world indeed.

Those images are so sad. Again, with all the anger. I feel so bad for them, that they don't understand God's love for them.

This is all just crazy. You do have the right idea though and are a great example to follow. Thanks for the reminder to try a little harder and be a little better.

for the record: i think you already do live that way, and have as long as i've known you.

What very sad pictures. I am sorry you had to witness them first-hand. You are a gentle soul and following the BEST example of all. A Christ-like life is the best way to live.
Matthew 5:11 comes to mind as does Matthew 5:44.
God Bless, sweet Miriam.

That goal is exactly how we need to live. I couldn't have said it better, at all.
